NEWS and NOTES


The annual Variety Show which was scheduled for Catholic Schools Week has been postponed several times.  At this point, the show will go on, but not until later in the school year.  All of the performers are welcome to be in the show.  A new date will be published and the committee will re-confirm with each act.  Sorry to disappoint, but, it will still happen.

Dear Parents,

There is nothing like Catholic Schools Week!  The excitement and joy exhibited in so many ways throughout the year is spotlighted during this busy week.  The theme for this year is not as tactile as themes in other years and yet it is full of meaning.  Catholic schools:  Dividends for Life!  What a theme to reflect on.

Here is what’s happening . . . at Saint Agnes School

Hopefully you heard the good news at Mass on Sunday regarding the Saint Agnes Educational Endowment.  During the holidays donations and pledge redemptions arrived and the Endowment reached the $1 million on deposit milestone!  With over 300 donors and about 100 volunteers, this is an enviable point to reach in such a short time.  The Saint Agnes Educational Endowment proceeds can be used for school programs, teacher incentives, and tuition assistance.  For more information or to make a pledge or donation contact the rectory at 610-692-2990 or defund@saintagnesparish.org

+Dear Parents,

I remember hosting the millennium party at the convent in 2000 (I used the M & M theme!).  We all enjoyed the fun, but found it hard to believe that is was the year 2000.  Can you believe we have completed a decade and have welcomed 2010?  Where has the time gone?  Think about how life has changed in the past decade.  Each time we welcome a new year we face new possibility, new challenges, and new growth.  Happy New Year!  May you and your family enjoy many blessings this year, may it be a year of grace for you.
